Our Mission @ the School of Excellenceis to help raise the skill level and knowledge of soccer in our Community through a high quality of Technical Training Programs that are delivered in a friendly family oriented environment that allows growth and reward to the players, teams and staff alike.

Themes & Training Programs

Training Program Themes are based on the four major components of the game:

 

Technical: receiving, passing, dribbling, shooting, shielding, heading, 1 vs. 1, finishing, combination plays, moves and footwork

 

Tactical: position responsibilities, offensive positioning, defensive positioning, decision Making, soccer intelligence, field vision, anticipation and creativity

 

Physical: fitness, endurance, speed, balance, strength, coordination, flexibility, quickness, agility and explosiveness

 

Mental: discipline, confidence, handling failure, concentration, assertiveness, communication and interacting with others

 

Technical Training Program

(TTP): involves a group of eight or more players. The TTP model will be customized (including the training topics and # of sessions) to benefit players who are playing at a similar level of play together to intensively raise each other’s level of skill, dedication, and work ethic. This program is focused on technical skill while introducing some aspects of tactical awareness.

 

Mini Kickers Training Program

(MKTP): involves a group of eight or more players. The MKTP model is an intro to soccer program for young children, where soccer is theme! This program is focused on allowing young children to have FUN while learning and enjoying the beautiful game of soccer.

 

Striker Training Program

(STP): involves a group of eight or more players. The STP model will benefit Strikers (attacking players) who are playing at a similar level of play together to intensively raise each other’s level of skill, dedication, and work ethic. This program is focused on Strikers (attacking players) specific finishing/ shooting technical skills while introducing some aspects of tactical awareness.

 

Goalkeeper Training Program

(GKTP): involves a group of eight or more players. The GKTP model will benefit Goalkeepers who are playing at a similar level of play together to intensively raise each other’s level of skill, dedication, and work ethic. This program is focused on Goalkeeper specific technical skills while introducing some aspects of tactical awareness.

 

Fitness Circuit Training Program

(FCTP): involves a group of eight or more. The FCTP model will be customized to soccer related fitness, which includes working with and without a soccer ball. The benefit of FCTP training is to get players who are playing at a similar level of play to continue to work on the strength, speed, agility and quickness intensively and raise each other’s level of dedication and work ethic. This program is focused on fitness while introducing aspects of injury prevention.

 

High School Training Program

(HSTP): involves a group of high school aged players w/ a training model that will be customized. The benefit of HSTP: is to get players who are playing at a similar level of play together to intensively raise each other’s level of skill, dedication, and work ethic in preparation for the upcoming high school season. This program is focused on technical skill while introducing some aspects of tactical awareness.

 

Individual Training Program

(ITP): allows individual players to receive one-to-one coaching that is tailored to his or her specific needs. This training opportunity is completely customizable (including the training topics and # of sessions) to meet each player’s specific needs for the pre-season, mid-season, end-of-season, or off-season.

 

Small-Group Training Program

(SGTP): involves small groups of two to six players. The SGTP model will be customized (including the training topics and # of sessions) but to a lesser degree than ITTP training. The benefit of SGTP training is to get players who are playing at a similar level of play together intensively to raise each other’s level of skill, dedication, and work ethic. This could be technical, tactical, or whatever the athletes are asking for.
